Organizers of the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival say the appearance by Queen Latifah has been canceled.  The appearance by the singer and actress was the most recent headliner announced for the festival, and she was supposed to appear on June 23rd.

Despite having an agreement for her to appear, Co-producer John Nugent says she had a scheduling conflict. Earlier, organizers indicated Latifah had a press tour for a prior film commitment.

Nugent says they will find another show for June 23rd. Tickets for Queen Latifah were originally set to go on sale Friday morning, but officials postponed the sale when they found out her schedule was in doubt.
