A California man who once lived in Rochester has been convicted of murdering four young California prostitutes -- each of whom had first and last names starting with the same initial.
The jury near San Francisco will reconvene Sept. 4 to determine if Joseph Naso gets a death sentence.
All the victims were found dumped in rural Northern California locations. One woman had the same first and last name as one of three young Rochester girls with double initials killed in the early 1970s, though Naso was not charged in those deaths.
California prosecutors said Naso drugged and photographed his unconscious victims then strangled them and disposed of their naked bodies.
