More than 59-hundred RG&E customers are waiting to have power restored after a line of violent squalls and thunderstorms tore along the Lake Ontario shoreline last night.
That's down from more than 71-hundred at the peak of the storm last night.
The cold front that brought this morning's lower temperatures triggered the storms as it passed. Many of the outages are along the shore, but towns including Parma and Perinton were also hard-hit.
We've seen reports of boats capsized as many were on the water when the storm came through beginning about 7:30. The Coast Guard had to rescue three people from the water at Braddock Bay...and the storm forced the Monroe County Sheriff's Office to suspend its search for a possible drowning victim in Irondequoit Bay.
