(13WHAM)Rochester / Webster, N.Y. - Testimony resumed Tuesday morning in the murder, arson trial of Michael Pilato.
Still on the stand from Monday afternoon was Monroe County Sheriff's Office Investigator Scott Shear.
Shear specializes in fire investigations and told the jury that the fire at the Cardile Drive home started on the staircase to the second floor of the home.
Shear said the fire was intentionally set with gasoline.
That fire trapped four victims in second floor bedrooms of the home.
Michael Pilato's mother, Elaine, escaped through a window but father, Carmen, and brothers Joshua and Peter died in the fire.
