Rochester Police say they captured a burglary suspect at an apartment complex on Oxford Street.

It happened early Monday morning when police heard from a tenant there that he heard someone outside his door going through his belongings.

An officer with a police dog found the suspect, 32 year old John Vogler of the city, in the basement. They say he had the stolen property with him and he was hiding. When he refused to come out, the police dog was used to help capture him.

Vogler now faces charges of burglary and petty larceny.
