Livingston County deputies say that a rope rescue team was called to rescue an 18 year old man from a gorge in Geneseo on Saturday night.
Deputies say that Robert Benjamin of Warwick, which is downstate, was walking with friends in an area called Fall Brook on Route 63. They say that Benjamin had fallen over the edge while viewing the falls.
He had non life threatening injuries and was treated at Strong after being rescued by firefighters from Geneseo as well as other first responders.
The sheriff’s department notes that although Fall Brook is an overlook area by a waterfall, it is on private property.
