The U.S. Attorney’s office says that a Farmington man has pleaded guilty to harboring illegal aliens.

Authorities say that 29 year old Guadalupe Hernandez harbored three men at the El Jimador Mexican Restaurant, a business that he owns in Farmington, knowing that they were unlawfully in the U.S.

The men were found when federal agents used a search warrant in 2011 and found them living in the restaurant’s basement. Officials say the men admitted they worked at the restaurant and were paid in cash by Hernandez.

Sentencing will be at a later date and Hernandez could get up to 10 years in prison.
