A Rochester man has been indicted on charges of attempted murder and assault after an incident that happened downtown.

47 year old Dennis McFadden is accused of stabbing 53 year old Doreen Hildebrandt multiple times inside a high rise apartment building on St. Paul Street last month.

She was discovered in a stairwell of the building. Both of them live in that building, and Hildebrandt was treated for several stab wounds. She is now in satisfactory condition at Strong Hospital.

Police caught McFadden as he tried to leave the building.
