An accident on a very busy stretch of highway slowed the morning commute near Irondequoit.

It happened westbound on the Bay Bridge just before 8:00 a.m.  One lane of traffic was open just after 8am, but traffic was moving very slowly. By 8:30 traffic was moving normally.

There's no word yet on details of the accident, but road conditions and visibility in the area of Route 104 were impacted by lake effect snow and windy conditions.
