The Rochester Broadway Theatre League is trying to get the word out about the dangers of buying tickets from scalpers.

They are making the announcement now because the scalpers usually come out just before the start of a sold-out show, and the book of mormon is in that category. it starts next month.

Officials with RBTL say that sometimes there will be websites masquerading as if they were the official RBTL website, and will charge much more for a ticket that you could easily buy from RBTL.

Even though it's legal for people to re-sell tickets, RBTL says watch out for unscrupulous ticket sellers, including some people who will buy tickets, and then make copies of them and try to re-sell them.
