Genesee County deputies are investigating an armed robbery at the Sally Beauty Supply store in Batavia.

It happened Saturday morning on Veterans Memorial Drive. Deputies say a white male wearing a ski mask entered the store carrying a knife and demanded money from the register. They say the man then escorted the employee back to her purse and demanded any money she had.

He then bound her hands behind her back and tied her feet together. He told her not to make any calls for five minutes and walked out of the store.

The initial investigation indicates the suspect may have been drive a light colored Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2002 to 2007, with New York State gold and blue license plates.

Deputies say the suspect's vehicle was last seen heading north through the Towne Center plaza parking lot. The worker who was robbed was not injured.
