The Rochester Airport  has been open through the storm, but not many flights got out Friday night or Saturday morning.

@Airport Director Mike Giardino tells WHAM 1180 that his crews did a good job of keeping the air field clear of snow during the storm...

"They worked all night, it helps that the snow stopped falling and the wind helps a little bit because as they clear the snow with the big brooms, it blows and that carries the snow a great distance so that's good."

But he says the issue is that with so many other Northeast and East Coast airports impacted by the storm, not many planes were getting in here.

Very few scheduled flights got out of Rochester Saturday morning, although Giardino says hopefully that situation will start to improve later in the  afternoon as the other airports re-open and airlines start to get their schedules back online.

Still, he says you really need to check ahead to make sure your flight is still scheduled if you are flying this weekend.
