There were  numerous reports of heavy snow in areas across the Rochester area on Friday morning, and a number of accidents as well. The interstates were slow during the morning commute.

The 13 WHAM Weather Authority says that enhanced bands of lake effect snow showers are expected to produce 2” to 4”of snow intermittently.

Those bands of snow can be seen affecting areas along Routes 390, 490, and 590 Friday morning.

Some enhanced bands in Wayne County could product 3 – 7” of accumulation Friday.

Elsewhere, however, accumulations will be much less. Friday’s high will be around 22-degrees.
