R G & E says many of its outages due to the high winds were repaired by midday on Thursday.

Early in the morning, there were several thousand customers without power, mainly in parts of Livingston, Wayne and Ontario Counties.

That number was down to just a few hundred by 1pm.

 There were relatively few NYSEG and  National Grid customers who lost power at the peak of the high winds.
