(13-WHAM) The Greece woman charged with illegally purchasing some of the firearms used in the West Webster ambush on firefighters appeared in Federal Court Tuesday morning.

The federal case against 24 year old Dawn Nguyen was adjourned for 60 days so that she and her attorney, Matthew Parrinello,  can discuss the charges and decide whether or not to enter a plea.

Outside the courtroom, Parrinello said Nguyen has been “having a rough time” with the publicity surrounding her case. Parrinello says - "people are pointing, talking, acting as though she caused these deaths - that is a tough thing for a young lady to handle -  she's not the bad guy here."

Nguyen is accused of buying two of the weapons used by William Spengler when he shot killed firefighters - Tomasz Kaczowka and Mike Chiapperini. The guns were bought in 2010 at a Gander Mountain store in Henrietta.
