Albion police have charged a local man after a recent robbery at a convenience store.

The incident happened on Wednesday at the Yellow Goose store on North Main Street.

Police say the suspect wore a banadana on his face and told the clerk to give him money, acting as though he was concealing a gun.

After taking money from the register, the man fled the store on foot.

Albion Police used the freshly fallen snow to track the suspect, and with the help of State Police and Sheriff's Deputies, they found 19 year old Orlando Hernandez hiding in a closet in a nearby residence.

They say he recently lived at several locations in the Albion area. He now faces charges that include robbery and menacing.
