Longtime 13-WHAM anchor Don Alhart will be at that TV station for a while longer. Officials at our news partner announced on Wednesday that Alhart has signed a multi-year contract extension. Officials did not specify how many years that entails.

Alhart has been working as an on-air news personality at the station for nearly 50 years. He joined what was then called WOKR-TV in 1966.

Alhart says he is "grateful for the opportunity to continue to pursue my lifelong desire to communicate and be involved in such a wonderful community."
