One person was killed, two others injured in a two-vehicle crash in Orleans County early Sunday morning. It happened just before 3:00 a.m. on Ridge Road near Crandall Road in the Town of Gaines.

Deputies say that a D & C delivery vehicle was traveling along the shoulder of the road when a Dodge Neon was traveling in the opposite direction. The Dodge ran off the road and struck the delivery vehicle head-on.

The driver of the car, 22 year old Cameron Hess of Albion was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the D & C vehicle, 21 year old Edward Schneider and his passenger, 21 year old Christopher Swan, both of Medina, were injured. Swan was partially ejected through the windshield. He was being evaluated at Strong Hospital, and Schneider is in satisfactory condition.

The investigation is continuing.
