Officials with the Humane Society of Greater Rochester are looking for information about a dog who was abandoned in Irondequoit last Friday. They say an adult remale red pit bull mix was seen being pushed out of a white van while locked in a crate.

It happened at the intersection of Titus Avenue and Route 590 at about 11:30 last Friday morning.

Veterinarians at Lollypop Farm examined the dog and found no immediate evidence of abuse. They are taking care of the dog.
