A woman was shot and wounded in a shooting on Monroe Avenue in Rochester early Sunday morning. It happened at Gitsis Texas Hots restaurant.
Police say the 31 year old woman from Fairport was shot in the torso. She was taken to Strong with what appeared to be a non-life threatening injury. Her name was not released yet.
It happened at about 3:15 a.m. They a shot was fired by a man with a handgun inside the restaurant.
Police were questioning the suspect, also said to be about 30. He also is not a city resident.
The circumstances that led up to the shooting are still being investigated.
