A man in Wayne County faces robbery and grand larceny charges after an incident on Thursday night.
Village of Newark Police were called to the Pizza Hut parking lot for a report of a stolen car.
The victim told them she was in the parking lot when 31 year old Seth Brown of Newark ordered her into her car and demanded she drive him to Fairport.
She refused and there was a struggle. Brown allegedly tried to drag the woman into the car, but she resisted and he forced her to the ground, taking her car keys. Police say he took off with the car, and eventually the car was found abandoned.
Meanwhile, police say Brown was picked up as he hitchhiked along Route 31. Brown is accused of threatening the driver of the car that picked him up and ordered him to go to an ATM to get money.
As they approached a Village of Palmyra police car, the driver pulled up to the cruiser and Brown was taken into custody, although police say he resisted arrest.
Officers say Brown had approached at least two other people that night trying to get them to take him to Fairport. He is already on probation and now faces additonal charges.
