Livingston County deputies say they have charged a 41 year old man from Lima with grand larceny, accusing him in the theft of two steers from a farm in that town.
The owner contacted deputies last week saying he had noticed the steers were missing. He told deputies the steers are worth more than four thousand dollars.
Jeffrey Button is accused of stealing the animals on November 8th, and then selling them at auction for over two thousand dollars. He was located in Perry and charged with grand larceny.
Button was ordered held in county jail pending another court appearance.
