Rochester ushered in the New Year with its annual celebration, which focuses on family friendly activities.

There were activities  Monday  from 7pm to 10pm at the Riverside Convention Center on Main Street.

That included a dance party, an obstacle course, crafts and games, clowns and a magician.

Camp Good Days and Special Times will also helped lead a "kazoo fest." Just before 10pm, Mayor Tom Richards welcomed the crowd, and the fireworks, the largest show locally, started at 10pm.

At Manhattan Square Park, there was free skating.

The events drew thousands of people to Downtown Rochester on New Year's Eve.
