Those wounded from the attack in Webster are reaching out to the community to help the families of those that did not survive the ambush.

Joe Oster was asked by Ted Scardino to speak on his behalf as he is recovering at Strong Hospital along with Joe Hofstetter. He said that the two injured firefighters are hoping that people will assist the other two families first. "Their desire is to help the families of their fallen comrades, specifically for the funeral expenses and for the children of Chiapperini."

Across the internet there has been an assortment of fundraisers to raise money for the Firefighters and their families. Oster said that the effort on their part is to centralize the fund raising effort to something that the community can recognize. "West Webster is unable to give directly to the two families, the specific fund for the survivors of the deceased firefighters is on the Indiegogo site."

Hegedorn's Market in Webster is also taking donations in their Ridge Road store. You can find the Indiegogo link below.
