Greece Police are investigating a string of purse snatchings. Police say there have been at least a half dozen such incidents throughout the town since Thanksgiving.

They say most of these incidents involved older women, and many of them happened in parking lots, although a few happened at the victims' homes after they returned from shopping.

There is just a general description of the supsect now, a white man in his 20s , medium height and medium build, and police believe it may be the same person involved in several of these incidents.

Police say town residents should take some basic precautions when shopping, like always being aware of your surroundings, and be careful where you park.
