Fire heavily damaged a house in Penfield early Monday morning. It happened on Salt Road, at a house where the family had recently moved out.

The fire was noticed by a neighbor who called 911. One firefighter fell through the first floor, but he was not injured.

There was extensive damage to the building. There is no word yet on a cause.
