A Monroe County Court jury has acquitted a Brighton man accused of killing his former roommate last February.

Late Friday afternoon, the jury found 24 year old Max Wyant not guilty on all counts, including second degree murder in the death of 21 year old Christopher Schoen.

Deliberations had started on Thursday afternoon. Schoen was shot and killed on February 8th when he had returned to that house on Hartfeld Drive.

Wyant's lawyer said his client acted in self-defense. He said that Schoen was looking for a fight when he entered the house unannounced.
