A local woman who got some national fame because of her cupcakes is moving onto a new phase of her business. Heather Saffer, who won Food Network's cupcake wars in February, says she is going to close her retail cupcake shop in Penfield to begin a new venture.
Saffer tells WHAM News that her Dollop Gourmet Cupcake Creations will morph into Dollop Gourmet Frosting.
She wants to make an all natural frosting that will be marketed for sale at various stores
Saffer also plans on writing a book about frosting.
She has secured a book deal for the Dollop Book of Frosting. The shop in Penfield has been open since June of 2010. It will close on December 24th.
