There is now a bigger reward established in an effort to find guns stolen from a shop in Wayne County.
There is a 10-thousand dollar reward in the effort to recover 62 stolen guns, which were taken during the burglary of Tom's Guns and ammo in Sodus on November 25th.
The thieves broke through a window, and took nearly 30-thousand dollars worth of handguns. But authorities say the guns could be worth twice that on the street and could possibly be used in other crimes.
The federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency has already offered a five thousand dollar reward for information leading to the recovery of the guns or the arrest of those responsible. And now the firearms industry has matched that ATF reward, bringing the total reward up to 10-thousand dollars.
Any tips given to the ATF hotline, which is 1-800-ATF-GUNS will be treated confidentially.
