Livingston County deputies have arrested two people after they say jewelry was stolen from an elderly woman.
Deputies say they have arrested a 44 year old North Chili man and a 34 year old woman from Webster on charges ranging from misdemeanors to felonies.
They say that Daniel Bierworth and Yolanda Gadsby are facing various charges that include tampering with physical evidence.
Authorities say an 84 year old woman in Livonia called 911 to say that jewelry was stolen from her home and she believed it was taken by a group of door to door salesmen that she allowed into her home.
Deputies say Gadsby is suspected of stealing the jewelry and pawning it at shops in the Rochester area. They say Bierworth is Gadsby's employer, and is accused of trying to recover the stolen property and then cover up the theft.
Deputies advise you always be careful about allowing anyone into your home who you don't know and to be especially vigilant during the holiday season.
