Rochester fire officials say a woman was injured in a fire on the southwest side on Sunday morning.

They say a woman living at 132 Midvale Terrace was burned as she tried to put out the house fire. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.

There was fire damage to a second floor bedroom, and smoke and water damage to other parts of the house.

Authorities say the house did have working smoke detectors. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Red Cross is helping out two adults and one child with food, clothing and shelter.
