State Police say one of their cruisers was struck Saturday morning while a trooper was investigating an accident. It happened just before 9:00 a.m. on 390 northbound at the 590 interchange in Brighton.

Police say because of the icy conditions, and a blind curve, police tried to close off the left lane using flares and their emergency lights. At that time, a northbound car was unable to switch lanes because of traffic and it lightly struck the back of a State Police car.

There was no damage to the cruiser, and the trooper in the  vehicle was not injured.

The driver of the other car was not injured either, and no charges were filed.
