(13-WHAM) Two parents have a reason to be thankful this Thanksgiving.

Jeremy and Dolores Zane of Webster welcomed their son, Matthew, early Thursday morning while en route to Highland Hospital.

Matthew Zane was born at 3:41 Thursday morning on 590 Southbound near Browncroft Boulevard.

The child was delivered by Mr. Zane, who used a shoelace to tie off the umbilical cord.

Brighton Volunteer Ambulance, the Brighton and Rochester Fire Departments, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene shortly after to provide help.

All members of the Zane family are said to be doing well .
