Monroe County deputies say that a 96 year old man was found dead in a retention pond near an assisted living facility.

Deputies say the man was found Wednesday morning near the Baywinde Senior Living Facility in Penfield. He was last seen on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say the man may have slipped down a steep embankment leading to the pond.
