The unions representing service employees at the University of Rochester and Strong Hospital say that there is a tentative agreement on a new contract.
That follows four months of collective bargaining. Details of the contract have not been released yet. Changes in health benefits had been one of the major issues.
About 1700 staffers are covered by two contracts with the Service Employees International Union. Affected workers include patient care technicians, secretaries, food service and transportation.
A ratification vote is scheduled for later this month and the union's negotiating committee is recommending that it be approved.
