Yates County deputies are giving details about a hunting accident that happened on Saturday. They say the victim suffered a non-life threatening injury.

Deputies say that 59 year old Daniel Leach of Irondequoit was accidentally shot by a member of his hunting party in the Town of Italy.

Leach was taken from the area with the help of the Naples Fire Department. He  was airlifted to Strong Hospital where he is in guarded condition.

The State DEC is investigating.
