A postal worker is facing charges that he stole items worth about $49,000 and then sold half of them on eBay.

Macedon Police say that Brian Gaborski of Newark worked in the post office in Macedon, and was stealing items from a warehouse used by a marketing company called Wolff SMG.

Officers say that the items were taken from March of 2010 through July of this year.

Using various databases, police were able to track down some of the items. Police recovered $26,000 worth of stolen items in Gaborski's home. The other $23,000 were sold on eBay.

The U.S. Postal Inspector General's office was also involved in the investigation. Gaborski is facing a grand larceny charge.
