Ontario County deputies have charged an official with the Gorham-Middlesex Parent Teacher Organization with stealling thousands of dollars from that group.

Deputies say that 44 year old Tracy Brooks of Canandaigua was the treasurer of the organization between 2007 and September of this year. During that time, it was determined that over $50,000 dollars was taken from accounts that Brooks had access to.

She was charged with grand larceny and ordered held on bail. The Gorham-Middlesex PTO is a separate organization from the school district.
