A Rochester man facing arson charges has died. 37 year old Jerome Tavolino was accused of deliberately setting a fire in a home on Kilmar Street November 2nd.

Two children- ages 11 and 3- were able to escapse the flames by crawling out of a window and onto a garage roof. The children belong to Tavolino's girlfriend.

He died at Strong Hospital yesterday. He had been there since Monday after he was found unresponsive in his cell at the Monore County Jail.
