There's word that a well known local developer may now get involved in a project involving the former Midtown Plaza.

Larry Glazer, who is CEO of Buckingham Properties, is looking at the possibility of getting involved in the proposal to re-develop Midtown Tower.

That's the major part of the former shopping complex that was left standing with the hope that it could be turned into a combination of residential, office and retail space.

Buckingham would replace christa development in this project and partner with Morgan Management. Christa would still have a minor role in the project.

Glazer tells WHAM News this is still preliminary and there's a lot of work to be done. He hopes to have a decision within about a month.

It's estimated the cost of the project would be more than 70 million dollars.
