Greece Police  say that a man who was arrested early Monday for making threats with a gun has been arrested under the mental hygiene law.

They say that the man, who is in his 30s, is under evaluation at Unity Hospital.

The  incident began at about 7pm on Sunday when police responded to a report of a man making threats with a gun at a house on McGuire Road.

After talking with negotiators for hours, the man was persuaded to leave the house just after midnight.
