Monroe County deputies say that an RIT student who fell from a building in Henrietta nearly two weeks ago has died of his injuries.

They say 19 year old Alexander Ketchek was at a party at a building at 220 John Street on October 26th. He had climbed up the outside wall of the building and fell from a third floor balcony.

Ketchek suffered serious injuries and died Thursday afternoon at Strong.

The three men hosting the party, 19 year old Eric Brown, 18 year old John Dong and 18 year old Matthew Gibson were charged with unlawfully dealing with a child since there was alcohol at the party. They were released on appearance tickets.

RIT issued a statement saying that this is a time of deep sorrow at RIT. Officials say that Ketchek was well-known and was involved in the university's school of film and animation. Grief counseling is being made available.
