A tractor trailer fire led to the shutdown of I-490 in Chili Thursday evening.
The highway was been shut down since firefighters responded to the scene at about 6pm between exits 4 and 5 in Chili. It was closed for several hours.
Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies said a mechanical problem sparked the fire. The driver escaped uninjured.
The tractor trailer had been hauling about 40,000 pounds of frozen chicken.
