The Town of Pittsford Supervisor  is leaving that job for another position.

Bill Carpenter, who has been supervisor for the last 19 years, is resigning to become deputy executive director of the Monroe County Water Authority.

The Deputy Supervisor, Sandy Zutes, will run Pittsford until the town board appoints someone to fill in the remainder of Carpenter's term, which expires at the end of next year
