The latest Siena College poll on the 27th Congressional District shows that the contest between Democratic Congresswoman Kathy Hochul and Republican challenger Chris Collins is still extremely close.

In the poll just released Collins has the support of 48 percent of likely voters and Hochul as 47 percent.

In previous Siena polls, Collins and Hochul were tied at 47 percent in October and Collins had a two point edge in August.

Collins has a six point lead in Erie County, while Hochul has a three point lead in the other counties of the district. The district includes part of Ontario County, as well as Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming Counties.

The latest poll has a margin of error or plus or minus 3.9 percent.
