A new Siena College poll for the 24th Congressional District has Republican incumbent Ann Marie Buerkle and Democratic challenger Dan Maffei tied at 44 percent each...Eight percent of those surveyed support Green Party candidate Ursula Rozum and four percent are either undecided or not voting.

That 44-44 split between the major party candidates is similar to the last Siena Poll on September 13th, when Buerkle and Maffei were each polling 43 percent of the people surveyed.

Among independents, Buerkle has a three percent lead over Maffei.

The new 24th Congressional District includes all of Wayne County as well as Onondaga, Cayuga, and part of Oswego County.

The latest poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8 percentage points.
