A Monroe County jury has found a Rochester man guilty of murder in a 2008 killing at a Henrietta hotel.
The District Attorney's office says that 28 year old Preston Carter was found guilty of second degree murder in the death of 40 year old Joel Greenberg at the Extended Stay America Hotel, off Jefferson Road.
Greenberg was found by a hotel employee. He had suffered massive trauma to his upper body. The D-A's office says Carter was in custody throughout the investigation. He was an early suspect in the slaying, but timetables for the testing of forensic evidence delayed his indictment until last year.
Carter will be sentenced late next month and faces the possibility of up to 25 years to life in prison.
