A new Siena College survey has shown a turnaround in the 55th District State Senate race. That's the seat previously held by Republican Jim Alesi who is not running again.
In the latest poll, Democrat Ted O'Brien leads Republican Sean Hanna by 11 points, 50 to 39 percent. That's a switch from the Siena poll released on October 3rd, where Hanna had an eight point advantage.
The latest Siena survey shows that O'Brien now leads Hanna in support from independents. In the previous poll, Hanna had more backing from the independents.
The district has a five point enrollment edge favoring Democrats.
Both candidates will debate on the Bob Lonsberry show on WHAM 1180 on Friday starting at 11:00 a.m.
