The local Red Cross has opened four shelters now in Monroe and Wayne Counties to help people impacted by the power outages

In Monroe County, the Webster Recreation Center on Cuyahoga Drive is a shelter.

In Wayne County, there are shelters at St. John Episcopal Church on West Main Street in Sodus, the Second Baptist Church on Main St. in Walworth and the Lighthouse Community Fellowship church on Route 89 in South Butler.

Also the Red Cross is collaborating with fire departments in Wayne County to distribute water and other supplies to homes without power
