Wayne County government has declared a state of emergency for that county. That According to Board of Supervisors Chairman James HOffman.

He says right now there are no travel restrictions or other special orders. They declared the state of emergency to heighten citizen awareness.

Residents in Wayne County are advised that people who live along the lake might want to consider relocating Monday night because of possible wave heights of eight to 10 feet, but there are no evacuation orders.

The Red Cross is opening an Emergency Shelter at the Wallington Fire Deparment on Old Ridge Road in Wallington at 6pm on Monday.
